Penny Froggatt qualified as a solicitor in 1991. She has extensive experience in the fund management industry, having worked for a number of the leading UK fund management houses.
She has a degree in Economics from Bristol University and studied law at the College of Law in Guildford. She trained as a solicitor at Lovells where she worked for 4 years post qualification in the Tax and Banking departments.
In 1995 she joined AMP Asset Management as their first in-house lawyer and has since worked in senior management roles for UBS Global Asset Management Limited and Legal and General Investment Management Limited, dealing with both legal and regulatory issues.
She has also been closely involved with the Investment Management Association (IMA) and the Fund Managers’ Association (which merged with AUTIF in 2002 to form the IMA), both as a member of various committees and working groups and as a consultant.
